約1,300年もの歴史があり、ペルシャ絨毯、ゴブラン織りと合わせて世界三大織物とされている
本場奄美大島紬は製造期間半年以上かけ、約40にも及ぶ工程に各職人がいる分業制で作り上げていく

Amami Oshimaーーis extremely beautiful island and also known as ‘the Oriental Galapagos’. Here’s surrounded by the crystal blue ocean, full of rich nature, and the air of a subtropical climate covers our skins.
  The authentic Amami Oshima Tsumugi silk fabric was born in this majestic island. It has a history of about 1,300 years and is said to be one of the three top of textiles in the world, along with Persian carpet and Gobelin tapestry. This long-established and valuable textile has been made through about 40 steps and each part is allocated to specialists in each area. It takes more than half a year to finish all.

織り上げられた大島紬の反物はシャリッとした質感で驚くほど軽い
そして、その糸はとても細く艶やかでありながらフワフワと柔らかく大島紬特有の絣（かすり）
模様が美しい柄を作り出していく
その絣模様を作り出す為の筵（ムシロ）とよばれる糸の束である生地は締め機という大きな織機で締め職人によって織り上げられる
奄美大島の深い歴史と豊かな自然から生まれ ずっと遠い昔から変わることなく多くの職人の手で作り上げられてきた美しい本場奄美大島紬
その技術を残し伝えていくこと
その想いを胸に大島紬を製造する過程で処分されてしまう沢山の余り糸を廃棄物とせず再利用し糸にそっと命を吹き込んだ
アクセサリーを通して伝統の素晴らしさを感じてもらいたいという想いを込めて

When you meet fine and breathtaking Oshima Tsumugi, you will be enamored by the deep world definitely. The woven fabric is so cool and feels good against skin. And the threads are very fine, lustrous and soft. The individual pattern of Kasuri create the beautiful designs of Oshima Tsumugi. To make those patterns of Kasuri, the threads are binded and weaved by expert techniques, then the bundles of threads are made. That’s ‘Mushiro’ fabric.
  The history, tradition, natural feathers, and people of Amami brought the incredibly elegant Oshima Tsumugi. As the process of making the fabric progresses, so much thread remains. This thread is of no use as a part of the common products, however, they are still so gorgeous and attractive. I thought I’d like to reuse this thread and make something new somehow, then I came up with making accessories everyone can wear freely.
  Now I give new life to the remaining thread, showing as many people as I can how great this tradition is.

本場奄美大島紬の地糸と絣糸の余り糸と筵を使ってデザインから仕上げ加工まで１点１点アトリエで手作業生産しています。
大島紬の反物は裏表がなくどこから見てもとても美しい織物です。
アクセサリーも同じように360度美しくなるようデザインしています。
大島紬のSilk100％の柔らかい糸と国内外のBeadsやVintagebeadsと組み合わせ全て縫い付けて制作している為、柔らかい肌触りでとても軽い仕上がりです。
沢山の職人の技術が詰まった本場奄美大島紬糸
一針一針心を込めて制作しています。

‘lima accessories’
are created one of each by hand at my atelier. I design and make all by myself with remaining thread and Mushiro.
  Oshima Tsumugi fabric doesn’t have front and back actually, so it’s extremely beautiful when you look at it from either way. I always design accessories putting my heart that my works are also beautiful like Oshima Tsumugi. I use only Oshima Tsumugi silk thread, current beads, and vintage beads from home and  abroad. Therefore they are very soft and light.
  Oshima Tsumugi silk thread is filled with so many experts’ skills and hopes. And I also make ‘lima  accessories’ with all my heart as one of weavers.
